Reports indicate that 46 yr Suquing Chen was at her restaurant when she was robbed by three Hispanic men wearing masks.One man brandishing an extended gun and orders her to hand over the money in her cash register.She gave the robbers $300,and the men fled the scene.Police are investigating
Initial reports suggest that Ricky Miguel and Talia Westby were in a vehicle on Fabers Road Extension where they got shot. Miguel was shot to the body, while Westby was shot to the leg. Ricky Miguel died from his gunshot wounds while Talia Westby is listed in a stable condition at the KHMH
26 year old Morgan Francisco, a resident of Peter Seco Street, Belize City is dead after a self inflicted stab injury to the left rib cage. Francisco was initially on the street without having on a face mask, when he was approached by police officers. Francisco supposedly ran inside of his residence and stabbed himself to the left side of his chest. He was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he died shortly after.
A Police constable was allegedly caught smuggling a border jumper close to the Jalacte Village in the District of Toledo. The constable while wearing his uniform, was transporting a female that came from across Guatemala territory. They were stopped at a police checkpoint , where upon searching the vehicle, the woman was found lying down in the back seat of the vehicle. The lady stated she is a Belize citizen, and was over in Guatemala for a few months. The police and the woman were transported to P.G to be placed in quarantine and swabbed.
78 yr old Brenda Vasquez, along with her 26 yr old grandson, Kristian Young were charged with possession of a controlled drug. The Police state that over thirty grams of marijuana were discovered inside of their home in the Belama area. Young, along with his grandmother was detained since they were both found in the house at the time of the police raid. They were provided bail of $1500 and are expected to return back to court later this year.
15 yr old Victor Pott was shot at last night in Trial Farm Village, Orange Walk District. Initial reports indicate Pott was heading to a shop ,when a blue car drove past him and individuals from within the car fired shots at him. Pott was hit to his leg, and was later admitted to the Northern Regional Hospital in a stable condition. Police are seeking one person of interest to aid in this attempted murder.
On Sunday night, three men, 64 yr Manuel Gonzalez, 27 year old Marlon Saget and Agustin Ramirez Rivas, 59 from St. Margaret’s Village in the Cayo District had been transported to the Western Regional Hospital after they consumed an unknown liquid and apparently started foaming from their mouth. The Police visited the hospital and found Saget being treated, while Rivas had been pronounced dead at 8:00 pm and Gonzalez had been transferred to Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for additional treatment.The authorities will follow up on this developing story.
Sometime around 11:30 on Mckay Boulevard in Saint Martin area,25 years old Dellin Dougal was apparently along with his partner at their residence when a couple men went to the gateway of their home to ask for cigarettes and fonto.Dougal informed the men he did not sell fonto.The men proceeded to go in the yard,but was stoped by Dellin girlfriend at the stairway.The men then pulled out a gun and shot at Dellin,fatally wounding him.The attackers fled from the scene.Dellin later died from his gunshot injuries.Police are investigating this latest murder in the city.
Officer Wilbert Chi attached to the Burglary Unit, Precinct 1 and a resident of # 49 Kelly Street in Belize City; was shot whilst driving his black Meilun Motorbike without having a license Plate on Ebony Street proceeding in the direction of Sarstoon Street,and around 45 feet from the junction of Ebony Street and Lakeview Street, several shots had been fired in his direction causing his injuries. He received gunshot injuries to the hand and foot. Chi was taken to the KHMH where he was treated and his injuries were sorted as not life threatening. Police are looking for the shooter.
The shooting took place yesterday evening in the Trench town section of San Ignacio, Cayo District, has left one guy dead and another male in the hospital. 29-year-aged Joshua Villas had been together with Anthony Tzul when a lone gunman fired a multiple shot at them. Villas succumbed to his injuries and Tzul was transported to the KHMH where he’s being treated.
