We appreciate all the feedback and do ask that you bear with us in terms of providing the data in real time.

We also do note that the common question now is from which geographic area the cases are coming from but as we move along we can anticipate a delay given that this needs to be verified. The infographic does capture where persons show up or are called for a test but that may be different from where the person lives or works.

For the Stann Creek District, we had 8 cases last night:
– 2 in Dangriga related to a previously identified case
– 6 in Independence (1 contact related to San Pedro & 5 related to a tug boat that was engaged in movement of cargo at sea – link to Honduras)

No single community can let their guard down based on the premise that they have no identified case.

Stay safe all!

The 3rd patient to die from covid-19 has been defined as fifty-two-year-old Luis Romero Senior. His daughter took to Facebook to state, quote, “He had symptoms during this week which progressed within one day. My brother begged M.O.H. to test him from last week Thursday. They said he had no links to anybody positive and a bad flu is going around and if he went to a clinic, they will give him meds and that’s it.” End quote. She furthermore stated that the family discovered that her brother was in contact with a person who tested positive, even though other members of these family members were tested, Romero had not been, despite having signs and symptoms.
