An additional 31 samples, including primary contacts of patients #6 and #7, were tested on April 7th, for COVID-19. Out of these, the Ministry has verified another positive case.
The individual is a 50-year-old male who’s currently in the isolation section of the Corozal Community Hospital. The individual was referred from the private sector and has been hospitalized since yesterday. A mapping exercise has started because of this patient and additional details will be provided down the road in the day.
